“Hey, after the WAEC Exam, what's next?”
“What are your plans?”
We all asked each other these questions with joy and mixed feelings_Happy that finally we are leaving the four walls of secondary school yet still, our happiness was not fulfilling as the thoughts of our six years friendship coming to an end. we won't see each other as we usually do;coming together and going back home in groups as we always do or imitating our teachers and making jokes out of them or the fact that we gave each one of us unique and humorous names. All these feelings will cease to exist that same day.
The tradition of pouring each other water as a sign of washing out secondary school life is still vivid in my mind and the joy of going home all wet was a great achievement to us.
But, after all these, what follows?
Days pass and months metamorphose into year(s) with those emotions declining; we no longer keep in touch as we do, guess our path together died that same day, most of us meet and all we could say is "Hi" and it ends there and some meet with shame and regret of he/she is making it and you are not_ All these propagate with little or no emotion left out of what we felt before.
I really miss our old school days and I hope these memories of ours will forever live in our hearts forever and not what follows.

Biggie
