BOOK REVIEW
BOOK TITLE: AFTER I DO
BOOK AUTHOR: TAYLOR JENKINS REID
A fictional reality story of love, separation, family and marriage. It entails life after marriage; when things get boring in marriage and love starts to fade and the spouse who you wished forever becomes someone you can cope with again.
I am a lover of romance stories but this novel was totally from another angle. It is more like an eye opener to married and unmarried people. It answers questions like: Does love last forever? What happens after I do? How can someone promise forever? Because it seems so long to be with just one person till death do apart.
The book also tells about what marriage means to different people. It could be romance or those little things that do seem to matter to us or two imperfect souls that come together to be made perfect.
Take a minute dear reader and ask— What does marriage mean to me?
I hope you get the right answer.
Onto the next point.
The character I love was Grandma Lois. She has a typical granny personality we all know or few do. They always see the thing their grandchildren do as ‘farcical’— I quote her. But they always give the best advice.
The author has my applause to an echo. She brought to the spotlight many marriage fuss with her novel.
I recommend the novel to married and unmarried persons. It really taught a lot.
