Parenthood comes with the most tedious and challenging moment of any parents. It is time they take a pause at the life's needs to cater for a child/children. Their child's wants and needs come first before every other thing. A mother half sleeps just for her children and a father works super hard for his family to have all that money could afford. They both do their very best to live and train the children with good morals worthy of emulation.
But here comes the main gist.
There is quite a notable difference between parenting and parenthood. Most couples of our generation rush into marriage without being acquitted with the concept of family and parenthood. Most families today lack this quality of parenting. They found love and what pops out is marriage without the proper grooming of what married life entails. Yes, love is important no doubt but after a happy marriage comes family right?.
Ninety percent of prospective bachelors and spinsters dwell so much on how to find the right partner and make a marriage work, neglecting the most crucial part of marriage which is parenting a child.
A case where a child died of depression and bullying without the parents being aware because they were too busy chasing their dreams. Those dreams and prospects of theirs shouldn't be of higher paramount importance to the life of a child. Yes, you are married and what was expected of you both was a child. Why bring forth a child you can't raise and educate yourself without leaving them totally in the service of a nanny or maid. Being a housewife is not an option either. All this is all about understanding and balancing one's career and family life. You have to learn to give up certain opportunity for family just like the popular maxim ‘Family comes FIRST'

While at it, we should also look out for the type of person we get married to. Does he/she love children being around?. Do they get embarrassed or agitated with children throwing tantrums?. Would he/she be a good parents In time to come?
People may fit into your dream partner but can't fit into your right home. They may love and care but what of time to come, when they need to love a child too. There is certainly more to the love and marriage stories in the lips of many. Many challenges yet to unfold with just the words ‘i do’.
A teacher called an intention of his pupils in a class to an activity. He asked each pupil to imitate the way their parents behaved at home In front of the classroom. To the very surprise of the teacher, one pupil demonstrated her father being toxic and overbearing to her mother. What does this say about their family?. What can a child learn from such parents?. Truth be told, parenting should be the principal concept to every alleged single or about to married couples in the society.
Marriage is an institution they say, which has hidden courses with no manual for guidance but trust me preparation can avert most problems of marriage and parenting. Read books on marriage without leaving out books on parenting and parenthood. Remember, most people could be willing to be parents but few are ready to journey through the roads of good parenting of a child.
