BOOK REVIEW
BOOK TITLE: ADANNA
BOOK AUTHOR: ADESUWA O' MAN NWOKEDI
THE BOOK DESCRIPTION:
Adanna, the haunting beauty married off to a man three times her age. After enduring two decades of abuse, she and the rest of the household awaken to the murder of her husband, Chief Arinze Nsofor. With everything to gain with him being out of the picture, she is a key suspect. But also suspicious are his children, each of whom he has a strained relationship with...not to mention the other numerous people nursing deep grudges against him. In this tale of love, lust and revenge, the question remains; who killed Chief?
MY THOUGHTS:
Can a person bear so much pain and torment?— it was my question as I flipped each page of the book. ADANNA beholds all the forms of domestic violence and abuse anyone can never imagine. It was her hell on earth or a punishment she has to pay for her past transgressions. It just had to be because those sufferings are more than anyone could take in.
And I asked again
Will she ever have a happy ending?
How will the writer redeem her from all this pain?
Guess that part is only left for you to read and find out.
The author portrayed each character with the full and right emotion at display.. A work well done. And I look forward to reading more of her books.
RECOMMENDATION:
Readers of fiction stories and anyone who can withstand the outburst of emotional pain, do give it a try. I bet you will love it.
