BOOK REVIEW
BOOK TITLE: THE SEVEN HUSBANDS OF EVELYN HUGO
BOOK AUTHOR: TAYLOR JENKINS REID
BOOK DESCRIPTION:
Monique Grant, a magazine reporter at Vivant and was still unknown in the journalism community, got the lifetime opportunity of a tell-it-all with the renowned and aging Hollywood movie legend Evelyn Hugo.
Monique was amazed by the offer and wondered why it had to be her and no one else. Regardless of why Evelyn had chosen her to write her biography. She was determined to grab this golden opportunity.
Evelyn Hugo reveals her story— escaping her abusive father, ruthless ambition of becoming a known actress, unexpected friendship, forbidden love and her seven husbands. But will this lifetime opportunity be because of her hidden competency or is there more to it that meets the eyes?
THOUGHTS:
It reminds me of How to die famous by Benjamin Dean. He said “Celebrity comes with a deadly price”. He was not far from the truth, the road to fame comes with sacrifice, loss of people you love and care for and Evelyn Hugo paid those prices in full without batting an eye. All the fame, wealth and power won't really matter once you get hold of them. Life is full of choices; let's try and make the right one, we won't live to regret years to come. Life is too short to pursue that which doesn't matter.
RECOMMENDATION:
To those fiction story readers, try it out because this fictional novel paves light to realities of a celebrity's life.
