BOOK REVIEW
BOOK TITLE: THE HOUSEMAID
AUTHOR: FREIDA McFADDEN
GENRE: PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER
“From behind closed doors, she sees everything”
It's my first time reading books on psychological thrillers. The twist was so intense and confusing.
Millie and Andrew's love story left me with smiles even though another part of me was feeling bad for Andrew; who had to keep up with Nina, his wife’s supposed eccentric nature. But you know what they say about not judging a book by its cover. When the twist came, I couldn't stop my eyes from reading. I want to see the end and you know what. I loved every bit of it.
The author did an amazing job. Words turn to reality as I flipped each page— a detailed visualization to every moment well written.
But I think; the novel was justice-less because 'WRONG' is wrong no matter how we paint it. Then on the second thought, it wasn't entirely fair to Millie and Nina.
You can give it a try. You'll love it.
BEWARE: Psychopathic and physically violenced.
The book actually has a sequel — THE HOUSEMAID'S SECRET, which I will be reading next. Wait shortly for my review.
